bought a ‘DEAD’ SX64 from ebay <>. the video
screen lit up but no data whatsoever. i use to do repairs on all commodore products back in
the 80′s <>. i did not have lots of time to do TRIAL & ERROR by swapping out
IC’s so i just popped in the primary chips to get a quick idea of what was ‘gone’. when i was
at Rockwell i had access to all kinds of amazing equipment which allowed me to read all kinds
of computer chips. so i made copies of the C64 PLA chip for my self. well i plugged in a PLA as
well as the 6567 video chip and a 6510 cpu. wala. i now have a mint condition working SX64.
take care & thanks for the opportunity allowing ‘us’ to “EXPRESS OURSELVES” .
