The C64 Mini & Max. There are those who like it and those who don’t.
There are those who like and those who do not like said Totò in the movie “Totò in color“, personally they make me throw up both. I have nothing more to say about these two terrible objects that try to EMULATE the Commodore 64 and the VIC-20 and should remember the 80s.
Why did i buy them ? i bought them because i like to collect beautiful things and ugly things, useless things and even more useless things.
So there is no a real “why”, i can only say that i haven’t even tried them, they are still packaged and will remain packed forever.
Firmware upgrades for THEC64 provide new features and/or correct any technical issues.
We always recommend that you use the latest version of the firmware.
Version 1.3.2 – Changes:
- Increases the length of displayed USB filenames in Media Access and the File loader.
- Fixes an issue where filename flags are not detected if the USB filename contains multiple dots/periods/full stops.
- Fixes an issue with the saved states location where multiple spaces are found in the USB filename.
- Fixes the saved states location used on a USB stick to be unique per filename. Note that this may change the saved states location from previous firmware versions if the filename contains multiple dots/periods/full stops.
Previous changes included in version 1.3.2:
- v1.3.1 – Fixes an issue when using Left Shift key and top-left arrow key for opening/closing THEC64 Menu from BASIC.
- v1.3.1 – Fixes an issue regarding the current computer model setting and different model requirements specified in a cjm file.

A new version of the firmware for the AVGCART (SD multicart for 8bit Atari) by tmp is released.

This project began many years ago as a simple graphics converter for Atari but over the years the features are significantly increased. The converter runs under Windows.

The High Voltage SID Collection (HVSC) is a freeware hobby project which organises Commodore 64 music (also known as SID music) into an archive for both musicians and fans alike.
The work on the collection is done completely in the Team and contributors’ spare time and is proudly one of the largest and most accurate computer music collections known.
This update features (all approximates):
- 507 new SIDs.
- 146 fixed/better rips.
- 3 repeats/bad rips eliminated.
- 356 SID credit fixes.
- 103 SID model/clock infos.
- 10 tunes from /DEMOS/UNKNOWN/ identified.
- 3 tunes from /GAMES/ identified.
- 33 tunes moved out of /DEMOS/ to their composers’ directories.

A new version of the firmware for the Ultimate-64 / U2+ by Gideon is released.
Difference with previous release V1.24 / V3.6:

When you remove a chip with the screwdriver you have to be careful to lift the chip from the socket and not the socket from the PCB :lol:
That said and after bridged the broken pcb track of the GTIA and replaced a failed RAM the computer started working properly.
After the repair i have also make a improvement of the S-Video signal (XE series support the S-Video output).
This simple mod replaces/adds some resistors and capacitors that in the XE version are wrong for a perfect S-Video signal.
The instruction can be found in the link at the end of this article.
NOTE: The description of the STEP 4 is incorrect, it’s not Q2 but Q3 and in the STEP 5 is not Q3 but Q2.
NOTE2: Obviously after assemble the computer i have noticed the “B” key was stuck, the key piston have a crack, after replace it now the button work properly.

This is the same article of the previous one “Floppy Disk Cleaner” with the only difference that i have used a ALPS mechanics.
I have also connected the RED Led throught a 680 ohm 1W resistor to the 12v line.

How to do ? just disassemble the entire part that controls the movement of the head including the head itself.
The power supply used is 12v with at least 1A, you must connect the positive to the BROWN wire and the negative to the BLACK wire of the motor control PCB.
