Con ASAP Music Player si torna indietro di 20 anni, dato che si possono ascoltare le musiche dell’Atari 8-bit su Windows / Mobile (Android)  /Linux. ASAP emula in modo perfetto il chip audio POKEY e il processore 6502.

Il progetto era inizialmente basato sulle routine utilizzate dall’emulatore Atari800, ma la versione attuale ha un core di emulazione completamente nuovo.

HxCmount è un software che trasforma l’interfaccia HXC (Emulatore di Floppy drive) in un disco rigido per Atari ST.

Una volta caricato, sarete in grado di utilizzare il nuovo file system esattamente come una partizione del disco rigido, l’unica cosa è che la partizione risiede su un file immagine nella scheda SD.

Xebin è un’utility a riga di comando per manipolare i file binari (eseguibili) Atari 8 Bit. Con questa piccola tool sara’ possibile elencare il contenuto del file binario o aggiungere dei nuovi file creando cosi’ un ‘archivio’  binario multifile.

xebin è stato scritto utilizzando il linguaggio di programmazione D ed e’ stato testato sotto Windows e Linux (x86).

SpartaDOS X (o SpartaDOS 4.0) è un sistema operativo per i computer Atari 8-bit, questo sistema operativo assomiglia all’MS-DOS ed ‘stato sviluppato e venduto da ICD Inc. nel 1987-1993.

Dieci anni più tardi il sistema operativo SpartaDOS X e’ diventato abandonware, approfittando di questo evento un gruppo di sviluppatori appassionati di retro-computer, in fattispecie di Atari 8-bit, hanno ripreso in mano il codice aggiungendo numerose migliorie e risolvendo molti bug che erano stati identificati tempo addietro.

CTetris4 è un clone del gioco Tetяis per computer Atari 8 bit. Il gioco risulta essere molto carino e giocabile ed è stato sviluppato da Hayden Doan.

Cosa c’e’ di nuovo in questa versione:

• Fixed .atr file format (instead of .xfd)
• Fixed sound issue after high score saves.
• Tested “OK” on Real Atari 800 and popular Atari 800 emulators.
• On Altirra v1.8 emulator the disk image was mounted as R/O (Read-only) by default. Change it with Alt+Shift+D.
