ACID 64 Player Pro e’ l’evoluzione del Player Acid 64.

L’ACID 64 Player Pro e’ un lettore di Brani Musicali SID del Commodore 64 ed e’ stato progettato per funzionare con le schede HardSID 4U (USB) che hanno un vero e proprio chip SID (6581/6582/8580) a bordo.

L’ACID 64 Player Pro emula il Micro Processore MOS 6510, il chip CIA 6526 e in parte il VIC 6569.

Cosa c’e’ di nuovo nella versione v3.2:

• JSidDevice v1.2 support, get the new version at the JSidplay2 site.
• Increased performance for building folder tree view.
• Seeking back for some tunes could lead to stopping the voice bars.
• Small improvements.

Il C64 Studio scritto da Georg Rottensteiner è un Macro Assembler per il Commodore 64.

Questo kit di sviluppo e’ basato sull’assemblatore Acme e gira in ambiente M$ Windows, se unito assieme all’emulatore di Commodore 64 “VICE” puo’ diventare un potente strumento per debuggare i programmi scritti/compilati in linguaggio macchina.

Il programma Regenerator è un disassemblatore per i file binari del Commodore 64. Regenerator puo’ disassemblare i file in formato PRG C64 oppure i file snapshot generati dal VICE (Emulatore Commodore 64).

Il disassemblatore gira sotto M$ Windows e’ richiede .NET Framework 3.5 o superiori per funzionare.

New in version 1.2 (compared to 1.0):

• You can turn Auto-Merge of Text/Data blocks that touch each other on/off.
• You can Manually Merge Text/Data blocks that touch each other.
• You can set any true type font as the display font now.
• There is a new default font used for display (hopefully better and more readable)
• Regenerator can prefix ‘~’ to operands which must be compiled as 16 bit even though their higher byte is 0. This feature is supported by 64tass 1.47 that is included in the zip file (it also has other bug fixes done by me).
• A lot of minor bug fixes and annoyances squashed.

Tutti hanno sentito parlare del Commodore64, dello Spectrum o dell’Apple II (tanto per citarne alcuni): sono i nomi fantasiosi dei primi calcolatori personali veramente alla portata di tutti. Qualcuno di voi ne ha posseduto uno o magari lo possiede ancora e ricorda l’eccitazione di quei primi passi nel mondo dell’informatica che ora è ormai esplosa e permanea tutta la nostra vita quotidiana.

Coloro che ricordano con nostalgia la pionieristica atmosfera dei primi approcci al BASIC o al linguaggio macchina o che semplicemente hanno passato molte ore cercando di superare quel livello di gioco che sembrava impossibile, troveranno in J.N. la stessa atmosfera di un tempo.

Sono passati quasi 20 anni dal giorno che e’ stato rilasciato l’originale, ed ecco qui un’edizione speciale del gioco Realms of Quest per il Commodore VIC-20.

Questi sono i miglioramenti:

• User-friendly instructions.
• A unique name for each of the 36 magic spells.
• Much better interface, display and text.
• Instructions and a “Book of Beasts” (bestiary) can be read from the main game menu.
