AspeQt is a cross-platform, free and open source Atari 8-bit serial peripheral emulator. The name is an acronym for Atari serial peripheral emulator for Qt, Qt being the cross-platform application development framework used by AspeQt.
AspeQt emulates various Atari 8-bit peripherals like disk drives and printers via an SIO-2-PC cable. If you are familiar with software like Sio2Pc, APE, Atari810, AtariSIO etc., you probably won’t have any problems getting used to AspeQt.
Even though AspeQt is not fully mature yet, it is easy to use and, despite its shortcomings, has many features that you may find useful, the highlights being:
- Cross-platform GUI with drag and drop support.
- 8 emulated disk drives with support for 512 bytes per sector disk images.
- High speed operation up to 6 times faster than the normal speed.
- Ability to use PC folders as emulated disks.
- Disk image explorer for viewing and modifying disk image contents.
- Ability to run Atari executables without messing with disk images and DOSes.
- Printer emulation.

This Ethernet Cartridge will be used to connect a computer Atari 8-bit to internet.
Much of the work has already been done thanks to some very talented people in the Atari community. The hardware and software was originally developed by Chris Martin and tested by Mark Dusko. The software is based on the work already done in the Commodore 64 community, this adapter will allow you to take advantage of telnet, e-mail, web browsing and a web server via the Contiki Operating System and a Ciris Logic CS8900A ethernet controller chip.
The project is now open source and any help with the project is welcome and greatly appreciated. We are hoping with some help from the awesome Atari 8-bit community, we can make the 8-bit ethernet interface a reality!

1 Cents Atari 2600 Video Composite Mod: This very simple/cheap and functional mod adds a Video Composite output to the Atari 2600 console. I have shorted the five contacts Luma/Chroma and Sync for get a decent composite Video Signal. I have also cut a resistor (R55) to get better colors, for the Audio signal see the picture.
The Harmony Cartridge is a simple, affordable, time-saving, space-saving, hassle-free way to play hundreds of games on your Atari 2600 console.
Using a Harmony cartridge is easy. Just insert the Harmony cartridge into your console slot the same way you would with any ordinary Atari game cartridge. Put your favorite game binaries on an SD card, pop it into the Harmony Cartridge and you’re ready to go. Turn on the console, select the game you want to play from the list and start having fun.
