After 3+ years of suffering and curses, some days ago i have leave one of the worst (cheap) shared web hosting on the net.

I’m talking about Dreamhost.

The site Nightfallcrew.com / Retrocomputermania.com / Retrothings.org now runs on a dedicated server virtualized with Proxmox (KVM).

We will be completing the fixes to our Core infrastructure.  This will include abandoning HSRP, restructuring our internal LAN routing domain and pruning unnecessary vlans from our border routers.

A backup machine is having issues at the moment, which is adversely affecting multiple MySQL machines.

The root problem has been resolved, and most of the cleanup is done…however, if you’re still noticing any lingering MySQL issues, let us know, and we’ll be happy to address them as needed.

It looks like the problem was actually with a specific VLAN behind one of our core routers and wasn’t actually the switch itself.

One of our senior Network Administrators trying to  fix the problem and all services should be restored very soon.
